Quickly rising through the acting ranks, Witherspoon established herself in such films as Pleasantville, Election, and Cruel Intentions. A few years after having her daughter, Witherspoon’s success skyrocketed with the release of Legally Blonde in 2001. The film was a major hit, and the first production by Witherspoon’s young company, Type A Films. While she grew her company, Witherspoon stared in several more films, including Vanity Fair in 2004, Penelope in 2006, and How Do You Know? in 2010.

In 2012, Witherspoon welcomed the birth of her third child and kicked her career back into high gear. She kept herself busy promoting her newest films - This Means War and Mud - while balancing the needs of her children. Witherspoon also used this time to serve on the board of the Children’s Defense Fund and promote her longtime support for Save the Children.

In May 2015, Witherspoon launched her retail brand, Draper James. The lifestyle brand focuses on fashion and home d├ęcor inspired by the American south.
